Mandolin Shrinivas to perform
for Shakti Foundation

CHENNAI, 14 Feb 2008: Mandolin masters U. Shrinivas and U. Rajesh
will share stage with Loy Mendonza of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy fame
(keyboard) and Pete Lockett of London (percussion) to give a
concert for Shakti Foundations' annual fund raiser 'Tamoghna'.
It will be a three-hour concert. It will happen on February
23, 2008 in Chennai. Shrinivas will anchor the event. The concert
will feature compositions by Shrinivas. 'Srujana' in Sindhubhairavi
and 'Sangamam' in Keeravani are among his own compositions.
The Foundation seeks to integrate differently abled people into
the mainstream, using music as the medium. The proceeds of the
concert will go to fund the purchase of medical equipment, which
will be donated to the Adhiparashakti Medical and Research Hospital,
