Book on essentials of musicology in South
India
CHENNAI, May 9: A book titled ``Essentials of Musicology in
South India’’ will be released here today. The book
is written by S.R. Janakiraman. The book-release function is
being organized jointly by Music Education Trust, Madras Chapter,
and SRJ Well Wishers’ Forum.
The function will take place at Kasturi Srinivasan Hall in Music
Academy at 6.15 p.m.
The President of the Academy and the Managing Director of The
Hindu, Mr. N. Murali, will preside over the function.
The book will be released by Veena vidushi Smt. Kalpakam Swaminathan.
The first copy of the book will be received by Prof. T.R. Subramanyam.
