Students, faculty and management of Lalaji Memorial Omega International School in Chennai held ‘Kalanjali’, an annual festival of performing arts on October 22 at The Music Academy. This is the fifth year that the school organised Kalanjali. The idea of Kalanjali is to promote performing arts and classical music. This year, Kalanjali featured a Carnatic recital by sister-duo Ranjani and Gayatri. They were accompanied by Vittal Rangan on violin, N Manoj Siva on mridangam and S Krishna on the ghatam.
The concert was preceded by Ranjani and Gayatri unveiling ‘The Wisdom Bridge’, a book penned by Kamlesh Patel ‘Daaji’ – Guide of Heartfulness.
Heartfulness offers a simple set of meditative practices and lifestyle changes, first developed at the turn of the twentieth century and formalized into teaching through the Shri Ram Chandra Mission in 1945.
