Saroja & Lalitha (Bombay sisters)
An excellent site. We wish you all success in your endeavour.
Best wishes & blessings...

I thoroughly agree with what Srimati Jayashri is saying. In
particular, one thing that I can relate to is particular ragas
helping me feel better when I suffer with severe migraine. I
love our Carnatic music and the inner peace that it gives me
when I hear it is something that I can't get anywhere else!

I fully agree with a lot of observations made by Srimathi Bombay
Jayashri. I listen to a very wide collection of Carnatic music,
Hindi and Tamil film songs and English light music, especially
when I feel a bit down. Within a matter of 30 minutes, I find
that very soothing and I feel very happy and cheerful. I am
72 years and, believe me, I have not experienced a headache
so far in my life. I personally believe that is due to my listening
to music. There is always music playing in my house during the
time we are awake.
Students of Vittal Ramamurthy
We are students of the famed violinist Sri Vittal Ramamurthy.
We have dedicated a website to our Guru. The site address is: www.violinvittal.com
Your site is very nice. Keep coming out with reviews and interviews. All the best.

A positive initiative for a noble cause. A very educative and
informative site. I like the way topics are organized and info
from famous personalities are included. However, it would be
good if a comment box is posted for each topic. For example,
if someone wants to add some info for Sshankarabharanam raga',
it could be added there, after the article finishes. Looking
forward to contribute and be a part of this project.

It is a very catchy name. And, the website has simple navigation
and is a good effort to promote the various aspects of Carnatic
music globally. The profiles of the people behind make it a
truly sincere and dedicated team, comitted to the cause of music.
My best wishes and also will be happy to lend a supporting hand
in your great efforts.

A good initiative. Keep it up. I could see this as becoming
one like Google in music. Please keep all the threads going.
Do you have all the system in place with the right people to
manage the threads? BEST OF LUCK.

I am very happy to see your website. Its well organized, professional
and complete. Above all, the vision and objective are highly
commendable.
Here are some of my humble suggestions. You could probably organize
the weblinks/resources section a little bit. For example, into
sections like * Organization / Sabhas
* Magazines / Srchives * Musicians
/ Artiste * Lyrics
Also, you could provide a section on education where you could
provide links to academic and other training/institutes you
might want to suggest . It can become quite a database that
way.

This site is very nice and informative. I was thrilled at the
contents.

I liked the website immensely. I will visit the site from time
to time. By the way, does anybody know the address and telephone
number of Shri Chitthur Venkatesan (flutist) and Shri Palladam
Rajan (flutist)?
H.Kamalnath - President, The Bangalore Gayana Samaja
I have gone through all the sections of the website. Your website
is one more addition to rasikas of Carnatic music - useful,
informative, valuable and well classified. My greetings and
good wishes to you and your collegues. May `Carnaticadarbar'
truly be the present day version of `the darbar' of yester-year,
which used to flourish with great musicians and patrons.
S.Janakiraman - Chennai, India
Your web site has many messages. Articles on M D Ramanathan,
Flute Mali and Kalpagam Swaminathan are all good. All the best.
Arjun - Chennai, India
It's very rare to view a site of this kind. It has everything
for Carnatic music lovers all over the globe. I wish every good
for this wonderful site.
I hope it becomes one of the most active sites in the Carnatic
music space. Incidentally, I am a proud student of flautist
brothers Raghu & Ravi.
Prabakaran - Chennai, India
What a start! It has been a dream of many to see a Canatic music
web site of this sort. I wish you continue like this for long
long time.
V. Balasubramanian - Chennai, India
Your website is quite interesting, revealing the passion you
all have for music. Congrats and my best wishes. I wonder if
you could include bajans also in that and profile exponents
like Vittaldas (Jaikrishna Bagavathar), Udayalur Kalyanaraman,
Kovai Jayaraman and Tanjore Thiagrajan.

A Creative Carnatic Capsule...
Shailaja Vardhan - Chennai, India
The beauty of Carnatic music is still understood by a finite
few as compared to say Yoga. Today, chanting CDs have caught
on and seem to be flying off music stores. Similarly, Salsa
classes are the new rage in town. This website could well become
the new must check-out site if you could offer suggestions on
Music CDs one could pick from the stores, quick reviews for
new comers on the scene, suggestions for serious enthusiasts,
in a way similar to what auto magaines have on offer.
* Classes as stress busters are gaining importance - a greater
list of teachers, courses, source for intruments, duration of
classes etc and so on could be very valuable. I had to scour
the net to find a suitable keyboard class for my daughter!
* More chatty information on sabhas, artists & their teachers,
new entrants on the scene, must visit places in Chennai for
music lovers, intruments and the mystery surrounding them, kutchery
in the park kind of features would be very interesting.
* You could also consider sending an e-mailer on the latest
happenings.
S Prasad - Bangalore, India
Congrats...A very good initiative. With more commercial support,
it has the potential to broaden itself into an "one-stop-shop"
on Carnatic music.
