Bharat Narayan gives vocal recital at Sunday
Park Concert
CHENNAI, March 9: As part of the mikeless monthly Sunday Kutcheri in the Park organized by Sundaram Finance on the first Sunday of every month, 12-year-old Bharat Narayan, a class VI student of Amritha Vidyalaya School, presented a vocal Carnatic music performance on the morning of March 6 at the Nageswara Rao Park in Mylapore. Bharat Narayan has been learning music from his mother Dr. Baby Sreeram.

Accompanied by brothers, master D Swaminathan (Guru - Shri C V Chandrasekharan) on the Violin and by master D Sivaraman (Guru – Shri T Shyam Sundar) on the Mridangam, Bharat Narayan presented compositions such as Gam Ganapathe(Hamsadhwani - Adi talam), Maa kelara (Ravichandrika – Adi), Parandhamavathy (Dharmavathy – Rupakam), Kripaya Palaya soure (Charukesi - Misra chapu), Raju vedala ( Todi – Rupakam), Krishna Karo ( Sumanasa Ranjani - Eka talam – Bhajan) and Saramaina Javali (Behag – Roopakam).

Sunday Kutcheri in the Park aims to provide a platform for young children under the age of 15 years to display their musical talent in an informal park audience.
