Svanubhava goes national, set to enter capital
CHENNAI, July 23: Svanubhava, an exclusive event for students of classical music and dance, is going national this year.

The musical extravaganza, which had already seen three editions, is a joint initiative of Matrka, an outfit headed by Carnatic vocalist T. M. Krishna, and city-based Youth Association of Classical Music (YACM), an organization run by a group of youngsters to provide a platform for upcoming artistes to showcase their prowess.

Hitherto confined to Chennai, Svanubhava is now heading for the capital city of New Delhi.

The event - usually held in August - has now been moved to October. It will be held both in Chennai and New Delhi sequentially.

This time around, Kalakshetra has stepped in to play a partnership role in hosting Svanubhva in Chennai. Unlike earlier editions, this time around, Svanubhava will be a three-day event in Chennai. The fourth edition of Svanubhava is slated to begin in Chennai on October 10. It will last till October 12. Svanubhava will make a foray into New Delhi with its three-day maiden edition commencing on October 13. The New Delhi edition of Svanhubhava will be done in partnership with Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya.

The organizers are still finalising the details, it is learnt.

The significance of Svanubhava lies in the fact that all programmes are conceptualized by the student community. Svanubhava gives the students a sense of participation in a task that calls for involvement, dedication and sincerity of purpose.
