4-day Mylapore Fest concerts to feature 100 kids
CHENNAI, January 3: Over 100 children, all aged below 15 years, will present mikeless ‘Kutcheri in the Park’ over the four days of the Sundaram Finance Mylapore Festival. All the kutcheris will be for one- hour between 7a.m. and 8 a.m. at the Chess Square of the Nageswara Rao Park in Mylapore.

On Thursday (January 9), 30 students of Suswara School of Music (Guru: Dr. Sudha Raja) will present a group kutcheri. On Friday (January 10), over 20 students, disciples of Gayathri Mahesh, will present a kutcheri.

Over the week-end, on 11th and 12th January, 15 students of Guru Padma Sandilyan and 35 students of Modern Senior Secondary School (Guru: R. Sriramalakshmi) will present Group Mikeless Kutcheris.

The idea behind the Kutcheri in the Park organised by Sundaram Finance is to promote young musical talent aged below 15years, and provide them with a launch pad. Over 700 children have presented the mikeless Kutcheri at the Nageswara Rao Park. Sundaram Finance conducts audition to select the artistes.
