Lalgudi Trust and Krutagnya Trust to hold day-long 'Violin Vaibhavam' in Chennai on January 4
CHENNAI, January 2: The Lalgudi Trust and Krutagnya Trust have teamed up to organize, for the first time ever, a 'Violin Vaibhavam' here on January 4 (Sunday).

'Violin Vaibhavam' is an exclusive violin festival for youth.
The event will be held at Srinivasa Sastry Hall here in Mylapore.
This unique day-long festival is being organized to showcase Violin as a solo instrument, and also to encourage upcoming violinists to play solo.
The day-long programme will feature young violin artistes, drawn from different schools that teach different styles of violin-playing.
It will also feature children of violin maestros, who arstival.

Each violin solo /duet will be for 55 minutes.
The festival will begin at 9 a.m., and go on till 8 p.m.
All the performers will be accompanied by several talented and vibrant vidwans on the Mridangam, Kanjira and Ghatam.
