Citi teams up with NCPA to offer scholarship for music students
MUMBAI, December 14: The National Centre for the Performing Arts in association with Citi India has announced the ‘Citi - NCPA Scholarship for Indian Music’. The scholarship is offered for the year 2015-2016. Students in the age group of 18-28 years are eligible for a scholarship in advance training in Hindustani music (vocal - khayal/dhrupad, percussions – tabla/pakhawaj).

The value of the scholarship is Rs. 7,500 a month for one year (2015-2016).

Application should come in an envelope marked ‘Citi - NCPA Scholarship for Indian Music’, and addressed to the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Nariman Point, Mumbai 400021, or emailed to on or before 31st December, 2015.

The application must contain details regarding the individual’s name, address, contact number, email ID, music teachers/gurus, number of years of training and details of achievements/prizes and performances, amongst other noteworthy details. The shortlisted candidates will be informed via email or telephone. They will be required to appear for an audition at the NCPA, Mumbai, in the month of January, 2016 at their own expense, says a release.
