SPIC MACAY to hold Bharatnatyam workshop session in three government schools in Bengaluru
BENGALURU, March 29: SPIC MACAY, a society for promotion of Indian classical music and culture amongst the youth, has teamed up with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, to organize workshop demonstrations for government school children.

This is done as part of celebrations to commemorate the birth centenary of Ustad Bismillah Khan.

As part of this, it is hosting Bharatnatyam workshop demonstrations by Praveen Kumar. These will be held on two days - March 30 and March 31 - across three government schools in the city, according to a release.

Praveen Kumar is a renowned Bharatnatyam dancer, known for his elegance and dedication to traditional style. After coming under tutelage of (Late) Narmada, he is training under Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar.
He is a recipient of "Ustad Bismilla Khan Yuva Purskar, 2010" from the Central Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi, and was also the first recipient of "Mohan Khokar Award."
