Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha dance fest gets under way
The dance festival of Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha got under way here yesterday. The venue of the festival is R.K Swamy Hall, Mylapore. This dance festival is among the longest ones of the Chennai music and dance season.

The 56th annual Arts Festival of Kalakshetra will kick-start at the Bharat Kalakshetra auditorium, Tiruvanmiyur, on December 21. The festival will last till January 2, 2009.

Bharat Kalachar Fest to start on Dec. 12
The 22nd Margazhi Mahotsav of Bharat Kalachar will begin on December 12. Mr. P.Chidambaram (now the Union Home Minister) is slated to preside over the inaugural function. Mr. T.S. Narayanasami, Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of India, will be guest of honour.

Naadhabrahmam festival from December 5
The seventh art festival of Naadhabrahmam Music Journal will begin at P.S. High School, Mylapore on December 5. The festival will last till December 15.

Narada Gana Sabha fest to begin from Dec. 14
Narada Gana Sabha has announced the schedule for the season 2008-09. As usual, the annual music festival this season will also feature, concerts by leading artistes, dance recitals, harinama sankirtanam, lec-dems and what not.

The 108th music festival of Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha will begin on December 15, 2008. His Holiness Srirangam Srimath Andavan Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan Swamigal (Srimushnam) will inaugurate the festival. He will also confer the title Sangeetha Kalarsarathy on Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan.
